What comes to mind when you think of Uptown Waterloo? For most people Uptown is a place to work, shop, or eat out. However, Uptown also includes a collection of open spaces that invite pedestrians to slow down and enjoy being outdoors.
On this walk we will explore a number of open spaces, from the familiar to little gems hiding in plain sight. Along the way we hope to talk about what makes spaces attractive to people who use them everyday, and to reveal a different side of Uptown for folks who normally just pass through on their way to somewhere else. As we walk we will also talk about things that might enhance the Uptown open space network.
